My Barcelona Experience – Invasion Travel

Hey everyone, here is my Invasion travel review of the city break to Barcelona…

I went to Barcelona with Invasion with my course society in February this year and I can honestly say it was one of the best weekends I’ve had. To be able to head to Europe during university term time to let off a bit of steam and have some fun, was an opportunity I could not turn down and I am so glad I went and am very thankful to Invasion for providing a brilliant few days.

Here we are in a tranditional squares. There’s loads of nightlife, restaurants and cafes offering some delicious delicacies.

What’s included in the package?

Accommodation, flights and transfers, Invasion representative, nightlife events and insurance were all included in my trip and for the price it was incredibly good value for money. The accommodation provided was in an ideal location, it offered fantastic facilities and was a great place to socialise and meet new people. The Invasion rep really helped us all get out and explore the city and was always happy to answer any questions we had. The bar crawl and club night provided by Invasion were great fun and it was so good to experience the ‘European’ nightlife and to be immersed into a new social scene, with it offering something really different from what I’d experienced at university.

Why Barcelona?

I had no choice in the location as it was selected by the committee on my society, however as I had never been Barcelona before it was a very easy choice for me to say yes to going. It was an amazing city that had a little bit of everything on offer, from beaches and parks to tourist attractions and landmarks and as a massive sports fan, the lure of the Nou Camp was simply too strong. Also, to go from the cold and wet in England to Barcelona was a very nice change and to feel the warmth and sun even in February was a nice bonus of the trip.

Best things about the trip?

  • The location of the accommodation – everything we did was within walking distance.
  • Nightlife events – great mix of bars along the crawl and the club night was top drawer
  • Spending time with friends – was really refreshing to socialise with friends away from university and was a great opportunity to meet new people on the society and to socialise with Barcelona locals
  • Activities and opportunities on offer – Barcelona had so much going on and whatever your interests are you will definitely find something to keep you busy

In June 2021, Invasion are planning to offer a ‘Barcelona Blowout’ for groups from different universities to meet up and join together so I would definitely suggest checking that out.

The weekend was that good that I am now on the committee for my society and am in charge of organising this year’s city break with Invasion and I am very excited for another brilliant few days (pandemic permitting of course).

Overall, there can be no doubt that what is included in the city breaks by Invasion is worth every penny and I would highly recommend it to students and anyone else interested.

Hope you enjoyed my Invasion travel review of Barcelona.
